Hermès extremely rare “Hourvari” silk scarf of 90 cm by Henri d’Origny from 1972.
“Hourvari” in French translates to the sound of the signal or horn used to recall the dogs from their hunt. In addition, the word can also be attributed to the word “commotion” as seen in the scenes of dogs running with their game and other busy hunting motifs.
This extremely rare and highly sought after design was created by the iconic Hermès Artistic Director, Henri d’Origny, who has been behind some of the most recognizable designs,
such as Eperon d’Or and L’Instruction du Roy.
Originally issued in 1972, the “Hourvari” design comes in an extremely rare color brown
